To provide fundamental programs necessary to nurture the development of youth within Fulton County. The Office of Children and Youth reaches out to the community and takes a proactive approach to the needs of young people. As part of our continued commitment to address the well being of children and youth in Fulton County; we advocate for programs that will give youth the tools necessary to become successful members of society.

1. Child Care Lottery: Subsidized child care benefits for full-time Fulton County employees.
2. Teen DADS Program: Fulton County Teen DADS Program emerged out of the historic “Call to Manhood Conference,” which was in existence for 17 plus years. The program continues under a new function referred to as the Fulton County Teen DADS Program initiative. The primary purpose is to provide comprehensive support services to young fathers promoting family stability, competent parenting skills, child health and welfare, financial and social stability, and healthy co-parenting relations.
3. Conversations with our Daughters: Supportive group services for young women and their parents.
4. Fulton County Quality Standards: This study for youth programming is a four part process that examines the quality of programs and helps organizations identify changes that lead to better practices. The four part process includes: The Organization Assessment, The Staff Assessment, The Family Assessment, The Youth Assessment
5. F.R.E.S.H. Grants : The F.R.E.S.H. (Fulton Roundtable Expanded Service Headquarters) Grant Program served over 178,864 Fulton County children in 2004 through grants awarded to 137 community-based organizations. These community- based programs are ultimately aimed to improve the achievements, values and attitudes of Fulton County youth.
6 T.L.C: The Office of Children and Youth is initiating an Early Childhood Development program entitled T.L.C. (Transforming the Lives of Children). This innovative program is designed to enhance opportunities for pre-school aged children to succeed in school and society by using early child development and mental health intervention. The program includes staff and parent training, classroom and child observations, and referrals to specialty services in the community.
7. The Fulton County Youth Commission: An intense leadership program that allows Fulton County’s brightest adolescents to voice the concerns of their peers while offering solutions to impact policy, procedures, and legislation in their communities.
8. Youth Enrichment Services: Program and service information offered to the youth of Fulton County from the Office of Workforce Development.
